A Night with Moths

Join us for an evening excursion to Altama Plantation WMA with amateur moth enthusiast and Coastal WildScapes member Mike Chapman. We will learn how to monitor Moths in your backyard. On this moonless night we have a good chance to see the following moths Luna, Tulip-tree Silkmoth, Imperial Moth, Red-bordered Emerald, Tulip-tree Beauty and Live Oak Metria.  

Altama Plantation WMA was acquired in 2015 by the Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources. To access this properties it is required to have either a fishing/hunting license or lands pass. This helps the state fund management of these properties.  https://www.gooutdoorsgeorgia.com/
